Journey across Te Pane o Mataaoho, also known as Te Ara Pueru and Māngere Mountain, and hear stories of the maunga, whenua and moana. Discover early waka migration, climate adaptation and the ingenious innovations that supported Māori settlement in Tāmaki Makaurau.

Stay at the Marae – Creative Space

Prefer to stay close to base? You’re welcome to remain at the marae, with a creative activity to keep you connected, engaged and inspired.

Creative Activity: Tohu & Tuakiritanga

Grab some felts from the creative space, and follow the prompts to design a Motif/Flag/patch that represents all of you. Proud of it? Slap it on the back of your lanyard and bring it to Whakamoemiti, to reflect on the day….. And maybe you’ll get recognised with a creativity trophey too……
