Rāhoroi | Saturday, 17 Whiringa-ā-nuku 2026

Te Aorere joins us from Kirikiriroa, bringing with them the rich world of Taonga Tuku Iho explored through their Masters studies and nurtured within the whare wānanga of Te Whare Pora.

In this hands-on toi workshop, we’ll explore how making can be a practice of remembering, reclaiming and expressing who we are. Guided by Te Aorere, we’ll learn, create and kōrero our way through traditional knowledge and contemporary expression — with the hope of leaving not only with new skills, but a little something flash enough to adorn ourselves in before the Gala!

Come make, create and celebrate the taonga within us.
